• Travel Tax Exemption for Exporters
The Export Development Council (EDC) has issued the implementing rules and regulations of Executive Order 589, exempting exporters from paying the travel tax when joining international trade fairs, exhibitions and selling missions abroad.
This is certainly a welcome relief for exporters who are currently struggling from the effects of a strong peso and the increasing competition against other Asian countries, especially China. › read more
• Want to export to the EU?
Philexport Cebu is considering to put up a Virtual Export Training Center (VETC) that will help exporters to market their products to the EU.
Philexport Cebu in partnership with the CBI of Netherlands will train hand-picked local consultants and send them to the EU on how to market Philippine products to EU countries and learn their export requirements. These consultants will then train exporters for a fee.
