| Philexport Cebu to hold Elections of Trustees |

At least 6 out of 11 trustee seats of Philexport Cebu will be up for grabs on November 19, 2009 at Casino Espaņol de Cebu. The 6 trustee seats will be vacated by the incumbent trustees by the end of the year. The vacant seats end of the year are in the Furniture (2), Fashion Accessories (1), Food (1),MEPZ (1), and Seaweed (1) sectors. The 6 trustee seats that will become vacant are currently occupied by the following outgoing trustees:Michael Basubas and Jay Yuvallos for Furniture, P. Montesclaros of MEPZ, Nelson Bascones of Food, Max Ricohermoso of Seaweed and Janet Chua of the Fashion Accessories group. The 6 trustees to be elected by November 19, 2009 will serve for a 2-year term from January 2010 to December of 2011. The COMELEC is composed of Atty, TomRiveral of OPASCOR, PD Nelia Navarro of DTI Cebu Office and Engr. Bert Paradella of DOST-7. The 5 remaining trustees who have still a full year in their terms and the new elected trustees will convene immediately by December to elect a new set of officers for 2010. |
