The Cebu exporters feel cautiously upbeat about export prospects for the next three years starting 2011 when they presented their projections during the Philippine Export Development Plan sessions last 25 August 2010 at the Cebu Grand Hotel. The planning session with exporters is part of the 3-city road show organized by the Export Development Council (EDC), the Bureau of Export Trade Promotion (BETP) of the Department of Trade and Industry and the RP-EU Trade-related Technical Assistance (TRTA-2).
The following growth commitments (base year 2010) by the respective sectoral organizations in Cebu are as follows:

The planning team from Manila was headed by Executive Director Senen Perlada of the EDC (also a director of the BETP), EDC Deputy Executive Director Emma Mijares, Key Experts Jigs Juliano and Tony Abad of TRTA-2. More than a hundred export stakeholders coming from the different exporting industries in Central Visayas, government enablers and export support organizations attended the planning session.
