e-Business Seminar was a big success |

The 25 Philexport members who participated in the “e-Business and your Future Market” seminar from May 25 to 26, 2010 at the Casino Espanol were unanimously very satisfied with the outcome. The seminar was co-organized by Philexport Cebu and CBI of the Netherlands with the latter sending over two e-Business experts from their pool of highly technical consultants in the persons of Messrs. Robbert Visser and Willem Blom. The two external experts run their own company in the Netherlands called Expand Online.
Aside from the lectures the participants were treated to an online workshop on search engine optimization, understanding analytics, strategic ways to promote one’s website and using several tools and techniques to promote products through popular social media such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, LinkedIn, etc. Among the 25 participants were six (6) Philexport Local Export Experts who were in one way or another involved in the drafting of the Sectoral Export Marketing Plans (SEMPs) of 5 industry sector associations such as CFIF, GTH, FAME, SIAP and CHWC. Philexport is mulling the possibility of holding the same seminar again next year.
