Exporters now have a more convenient option in the lodgment of their export declaration after the Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (PHILEXPORT) and e-Konek Pilipinas, Inc. (EKPI) agreed to provide encoding and lodgment services through the e-Konek VASP System that connects to the Bureau of Customs’ (BOC) e2m System.
PHILEXPORT, the country’s umbrella organization of exporters, and EKPI, a BOC-accredited value-added service provider (VASP), have signed a three-year memorandum of agreement (MOA) to offer encoding services for the export declaration of exporters.
Under the MOA, EKPI shall provide trained project-based encoders as well as laptops, computers and printers for the lodgment of the export declaration through the e-Konek VASP System that connects to the e2m System. EKPI shall also assist clients in the e-Konek online enrollment.
For its part, PHILEXPORT shall provide a convenient work area and stable network connectivity for the encoding service and prepare and issue EKPI official receipts to the clients. Service fee for the encoding services is P150.
PHILEXPORT and EKPI also agreed to promote and market the new service through their respective websites and social media accounts.
The MOA was signed on June 20, 2023 by PHILEXPORT president Sergio R. Ortiz-Luis, Jr. and e-Konek president Theresita D. Eisma. The export declaration refers to the statement submitted to the BOC providing details about the goods that are bound for export.
